Text | Mrs. Mollie May, aged 74 years, two months and one day, long-time a resident of the Exeter community, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lola Swafford, Sunday, June 9, three miles northeast of Monett. Surviving Mrs. May, in addition to Mrs. Swafford are 3 sons, Dan and Orbin May, Monett, and John Delmont, Columbus, KS; and five daughters, Mrs. Effie England, Mrs. Jesse Smith, and Mrs. Jewel Ellis and Mrs. Hattie Mattingly, Cassville. She leaves 28 grandchildren, and 10 great- grandchildren, together with three brothers, Joseph Robinson, Cassville, Pony Robinson, Exeter, and Harrison Robinson, Purdy. Mrs. May was one of the county's finest citizens and was a consistent member of the Baptist Church with membeship at Antioch for the past 17 years. Funeral services were held at Antioch Monday afternoon by the Rev. Norman McNabb assisted by the Rev. W. K. Weston. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of the Koon Funeral Home. |
