Text | Marjorie Louise "Lou" Matson, 78, of Shell Knob, died February 4 at her home. Mrs. Matson was born August 14, 1925, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Thomas Guy and Leta Jewel (Taylor) Kees. She moved to Shell Knob in 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Community United Methodist Church in Shell Knob. She married John William Harris on April 8, 1944, and he preceded her in death May 30, 2001. She married Arnold Matson on November 30, 2002, in Shell Knob. Survivors include two sons, of Baldwin City, Kansas, and of Greenville, South Carolina; three daughters, of Baldwin City, Kansas, of Fairfax, Virginia, and of Cassville; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Kees; and two sisters, Mil Jones and Mary Greenway. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, February 7, at Central Community United Methodist Church in Shell Knob with Rev. David Collum officiating. Private family burial will be held in Lake Park Memorial Gardens in Shell Knob under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Shell Knob. Memorials may be made to the church building fund. |
