Text - Outline | Mrs. Barbara Massie was born Jan. 1, 1844. Died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Girten, west of Exeter, Mo., with whom she had made her home for the past 17 months. She was 83 years, two months and 6 days old. She was married to Wilson Massie, June 15, 1862. To this union were born five sons. Mr. and Mrs. Massie come to Barry county, fifty years ago, and for a number of years lived in the Pasley neighborhood, south of Cassville. Mrs. Massie was a devout Christian and often, before her death, expressed her readiness to meet her Savior. She is survived by two sons, Jim and Sherman. Funeral services were conducted at the home of Wm. Girten west of Exeter, on Monday afternoon, March 7, 1927, by Chas Vanzandt.
