| Text | Carl Dane Martin, Jr., 68, of Washburn died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at his home. Mr. Martin was born Feb. 14, 1941, in Stella, the son of Carl Sr. and Martha (Haddock) Martin. Dane was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a master journeyman machinist most of his life and worked as police officer for 24 years. He and his wife moved to Greasy Creek Hollow in 1998. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the family farm in Greasy Creek Hollow. Dr. Kenny Hatcher will officiate. Cremation arrangements under direction of White Funeral Home, Cassville. Research Note: Dane's grandparents were Charles and Florence (Moore) Haddock of Exeter, Barry Co., Mo. His great grandparents were Ransom and Sarah (Browning) Haddock. His great great grandparents were Charles Haddock, Jr., and his wife Susan Meyers Rumbaugh Haddock.
