Text | James D. Marbut, 68, of Kanopolis, Kansas, died at 1:35 p.m. June 19 at Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, Kansas.
Mr. Marbut was born May 8, 1939, in Barry County, the son of Hershell David and Blanche Ellen Baker Marbut. He was a loader operator at Acme Brick Plant in Kanopolis, Kansas. He was a member of the Kansas National Guard. He married Linda Ann Irvine on June 12, 1960, in Kanopolis, Kansas, and she preceded him in death May 21, 2006. Survivors include one son, Jim Marbut of Monett; one daughter, Blanche Bosquez of Kanopolis, Kansas; six brothers, Frederick Marbut of Joplin, Royal Marbut of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Joe Marbut and Ted Marbut, both of Ellinwood, Kansas, Ralph Marbut of Schuyler Falls, Nevada, and Allen Marbut of Hemet, California; one sister, Juanita Edwards of Mesa, Arizona; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Jesse, Leon, Curtis, and Onan. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at his home, 303 Colorado, Kanopolis, Kansas, under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home of Ellsworth, Kansas. |
