| Text | Wilma M. Lowe, 82, of Monett, died yesterday, August 28, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield. Mrs. Lowe was born June 1, 1925, in Purdy, the daughter of Ralph and Mary Hankins Bennett. She had taught at Cassville Elementary School for 20 years before retiring. She was a member of Arnhart Baptist Church near Purdy. She married Kirk Lowe Jr. on August 12, 1948, in Purdy, and he survives. Additional survivors include three sisters, and two brothers, Jim Bennett of Purdy and Clinton Bennett of Monett. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin, Gary, and Glendell Bennett; and one sister, Merilyn Hemphill. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 31, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with rev. Jarel Burnside officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, August 30, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church. |
