Obit For Martha Jane (Dennis) Long
Headline Mrs. John D. Long Dead
Text Mrs. John D. Long died at the home of one of the Doty families near Jenkins Saturday night, December 8, following a very short illness.

Mr. and Mrs. Long lived on the Troy Williamson farm west of Cassville two miles. They moved from near Jenkins to this farm, which they bought about two years ago.

Thursday Mrs. Long and her little son went for a visit near Jenkins. Sunday the news came here of her death.

At the time of going to press the REPUBLICAN had not been able to get any further account of her death.
Research Note: Martha Jane Dennis married John Dake Long, son of John Dake and Lavina (Bellah) Long, March 26, 1874, Barry Co., MO.

She was born July 14, 1857 in IL and died Dec. 8, 1917 in Barry Co., MO.

She and John Dake Long had 14 children. She is buried in Kane Cemetery.
