| Text | Tressia E. (Decocq) Leonard, 89, of Purdy, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett. She was born Sept. 19, 1919, in Purdy, the daughter of Paul and Stella (Trent) Decocq. She was a homemaker. She served on the Barry County Election committee at Corsicana. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Purdy. She married Jon Leonard in September of 1941 in Cassville and he preceded her in death Oct. 31, 1986. Funeral services were held Friday at the First Baptist Church in Purdy with Rev. Jerry Francisco and Rev. Tony Martin officiating. Burial was at Purdy Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. |
