Text | Alice Fay Ledenham, 89, of Washburn, died at 2:07 a.m. January 10, 2003, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield. She was born November 19, 1913, in Eagle Rock, and was a daughter of George Allen and Lilly Mae (Garner) Wilson. She was a 1933 graduate of Washburn High School. She operated a dairy farm and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washburn. She married Pharis P. Ledenham on November 9, 1940, and he preceded her in death January 10, 1993. Survivors include three sons, both of Washburn, and of Cassville; three sisters, Joycie Lacey of Cassville, Melva Higgs of Wheaton, and Margaret Juel of Johnson, Kansas; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Enoch Wilson and Ertie Wilson; and one sister, Janie Ennis. Services will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, January 14, at Fohn Chapel in Cassville with Rev. Glenn Erwin and Brother John Ledenham officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, January 13, at the funeral home. |
