Text - Outline | Albert Perry Ledenham was born May 2, 1883 at Greenfield, Dade County, Mo., and passed away May 8, 1943 in Pittsbury, Kan., at the age of 60 years. He came with his parents to Washburn when a few months old and has resided in the community his entire life. He was united in marriage to Miss Maggie Pulley on November 30, 1902. She preceded him in death on January 13, 1940. To their marriage six children were born, five of whom survive. They are Mrs. John H. Mosier and Gladys Maxine Ledenham of Pittsburg, Kan.; Mrs. Olin Brattin Kuna, Idaho.; Pharis Ledenham of Washburn; Mrs. Dennis Lee of Belle Plaine, Kan. Also eleven grand children survive. Mr. Ledenham was a member of the Washburn Baptist church, and was held in high esteem by his many acquaintances. Funeral services were held at the Washburn church on Monday afternoon May 10, by the Rev. Chas Vanzandt, W. A. Ireland offering prayer. Pallbearers were: John Dunlap, Elmer Weston, Geo. Wilson, Joe Vanderpool, Claud Kiser and Garfield White. After the funeral services the body was taken to the Koon Funeral Home to await the arrival of members of the family, before burial in the Maplewood Cemetery at Exeter.
