Text | Ethel Fly Lautaret, 94, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Monett, died yesterday, January 13, at Florence Home in Omaha. Mrs. Lautaret was born September 13, 1905, in Atoka in Indian Territory, later known as Oklahoma, the daughter of Tom and Theresa (Smith) Poole. She was a deputy sheriff for many years in Joplin and a member of the First Baptist Church in Monett. She married Raymond Fly in 1923, and he preceded her in death in 1964. She married Hank Lautaret in 1970, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, of Omaha, Nebraska, and of Carlsbad, California; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 17, at Bethel Cemetery south of Monett with Rev. Grady Cockerham officiating under the direction of Lakin Funeral Home of Pierce City. Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 16, at the funeral home. |
