Text | Vera Williams Lansdown, 76, of Cassville, died at 7:20 a.m. April 15 at her home following a long illness. Mrs. Lansdown was born April 3, 1923, in Neodesha, Kansas, the daughter of Walter and Mary Allen Deeds. She moved to the Cassville area in 1966. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cassville. She married Fay Williams on April 5, 1941, in Shell Knob, and he preceded her in death January 28, 1995. Survivors include one son, Jack Williams of Cassville; two daughters, Joann Gundelfinger of Camarillo, California, and Carolyn McNeely of Cassville; five sisters, Maudie Jackson and Betty Tate, both of Cassville, Georgia Marshall of Berryville, Arkansas, Louetta Allen of Wichita, Kansas, and Zanatia Bowmen of Odessa, Texas; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. yesterday, April 18, at Fohn Chapel in Cassville. Graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. yesterday at Williams Cemetery in Berryville, Arkansas, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
