| Text | Dead: C. H. Lance, age 75 years, 5 months and 20 days, died at his home in Monett, Thursday, July 22, 1915. Mr. Lance was born in Grace County, Kentucky, Feb. 2, 1840 and moved to Missouri with his widowed mother in 1855. Was married to Nancy J. Lee, Sept. 6, 1863. To this union were born five children. Mr. Lance served in the Civil War in Co., M. under Capt. Kelsaw. His life has been a Christian example to all who knew him. Funeral services were conducted at Bethel Church by Bro. Marion Smith, after which the body was laid to rest in the Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Lance leaves a wife and three children to mourn his absence. |
