| Text | Edward Matthew Koenig, 63, of Alma, AR died Thursday, March 26, 2009, in a Bentonville hospital. He was born Aug. 30, 1945, in Carthage, Mo. He attended Butterfield Assembly of God, was an Air Force veteran, a member of the American Legion in Pierce City, Mo., graduated from Pierce City High School and retired from Pillsbury Bakery Co., in Joplin, Mo. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Butterfield Assembly of God with burial with military honors at Evergreen Cemetery in Alma, under the direction of Ocker of Alma Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife; two daughters of Parker, Colo., and Diamond, Mo.; three stepdaughters; two stepsons; his mother of Pierce City, Mo.; a sister of Monett, Mo.; two brothers of Connecticut and Pierce City; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. |
