Text - Outline | Mary (Smith) Kimball, wife of Frank Kimball, passed away Monday, May 7, at the Kimball home at Shell Knob, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Shell Knob, conducted by Rev. Will Ireland, Former pastor of the Baptist church at Shell Knob of which she had long been a member. Burial was made near Shell Knob with the Horine Culver Funeral Service in charge. A quartet from Cassville, composed of Mrs. Glen Pearl, Mrs. John Ray, Charles Wills and Clinton Blythe sang at the services. Mrs. Kimball was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Smith. She was born at Mr. Vernon in 1885. She was married to Frank Kimball in 1905. She had been a member of the Baptist church for many years and had been a faithful Christian. Mrs. Kimball is survived by her husband and eight children, the youngest being four years old. She is the mother of Dr. Gilbert Kimball now in Chicago completing his course in medicine as an intern in the Cook County Hospital.
