| Text | Mildred Louise Kenney, 86, of Cassville, died at 9:13 a.m. April 12 at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett following a long illness. Mrs. Kenney was born March 2, 1913, in Pleasant Ridge, the daughter of Theobald and Sue Melrose (Black) Stark. She lived in Cassville from 1946 to 1968, owned and operated an auto dealership, and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cassville. She married James C. "Poss" Kenney on October 19, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas, and he preceded her in death February 15, 1984. Survivors include one brother, Carl Stark of Monett; three nephews and three nieces. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Stark and Wayne Stark; and two sisters, Stella Smith and Etha Powell. Services will be 11 a.m. tomorrow, April 15, at Williamson Chapel in Cassville with Rev. John Henry officiating. Burial will be in Spring River Cemetery in Verona under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 14, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. |
