Headline | WILFORD KEITH IS BURIED HERE Former Cassville Boy Reported To Have Committed Suicide at Sapulpa, Okla. |
Text - Outline | The remains of Wilford Keith, son of Lloyd Keith, prominent farmer residing in the Mt. Sinai country, 3 miles east of Cassville, were shipped here from Sapulpa, Okla., for interment, arriving here Wednesday morning. He was found dead in his bed where he was living in Sapulpa, last Sunday and the death certificate which accompanied his remains here did not state the cause of his death, which caused H. R. Williams, who represents the state board of health in this city, to phone the undertaker in Sapulpa, to ascertain the cause of his death, who replied that it was believed to have been suicide. Wilford was 33 years old and was reported to have been separated from his wife and two children, who now reside in Springfield. He was well and favorably known here where he lived for several years and attended the Cassville school. He is survived by his father, four brothers, and one sister, Mrs. Sam Sparks, who resides near Golden. His brother, Charley, accompanied the body to this city, but did not reside in Sapulpa and knew but little regarding the cause of his death. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Horner Cemetery after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at that place under the direction of Horine’s Funeral Service.
