Obit For Samuel Alexander Keeling

Text Samuel A. Keeling was born Feb. 10, 1869 in Wayne County, Tenn., moving to Barry County with his family when about six years old and residing here until his death, Friday, Feb. 14 1947.

He and Angie Overton were united in marriage in June 1892 and were the parents of five children. His wife and two children, Robert and Emma, preceded him in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Hall of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Imogene Buchanan of Tulsa; one son, Byron Keeling of Wheaton; one brother, Brown Keeling of Wheaton; seven grand children and numerous other relatives.

He was converted at an early age and was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

At the time of his death, he was making his home place near Wheaton.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Wheaton Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Turner of Monett officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet.
Burial was in the Okla. Union Cemetery.
