Text | George Jones, 72 years old, died at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday at Ozark Osteopathic Hospital in Springfield, where he had been a patient since Sunday. He died following an operation. He had been in the Real Estate business in Exeter for the last few years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lucy Jones, a son Thomas Jones of Ft. Worth, Texas, three daughters, Mrs. Noah Davidson of Springfield, Mrs. Elmer Davidson of Wichita, KS. and Mrs. Glendon Wright of Fort Bliss, Texas. A sister, Mrs. Lou Hardwick of Cassville and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 Thursday afternoon by Rev. Hugh Higgs in Exeter Baptist Church. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery under the direction of Culver Funeral Home. Research Note: Death cert has his middle name listed as "Washington" - that is incorrect, all my research shows middle initial "A".
