Text | Mrs. Martha Hutchens, long time respected resident of Cassville, who was taken to her last resting place in Oak Hill Cemetery on Memorial Day, left more direct descendants that any person known to have passed away in Missouri. The number of totaled 136 and included 11 living children, 51 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. The group, if all lived in one place, would compose a formidable community and since most of them are engaged in various lines of business, it would be self-sustaining and provide most every convenience which would be needed for comfort. Many friends of this old family paid their last respects at the Culver Funeral Home for the service conducted by the Revs C. F. Siler and Earl F. Johns.
