| Text | Quentin "Ted" Hultgren, age 86, of Mt. Morris, died Thursday, December 9, 2004, at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, December 13, 2004 at Miles Martin Funeral Home. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Ted's family will be present to receive friends on Saturday from 3-7 PM, Sunday from 2-7 PM. On Sunday afternoon, family and friends will gather to pray the rosary at 5 PM. Monday morning from 9 AM until the time of service at 10 AM. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to St. Mary's Church Altar Society or the St. Francis Guild. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ted was born August 6, 1918 in Monett, Missouri, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Lillie (Collar) Hultgren. He married Florentine Boman on February 9, 1941. She preceded him in death on June 19, 1998 after 57 years together. Soon thereafter, Ted married again on May 27, 1999. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII, attaining the rank of Petty Officer. Ted worked at Ternstedt on Coldwater Rd. as a supervisor, retiring over 25 years ago. He enjoyed golfing and vegetable gardening. Left to cherish his memory are his wife; 2 daughters; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ester Lundberg of Salem, MO, Frankie Fowler of Kansas City, MO; 5 step-children; several step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. |
