Text | Jack L. Hull, 65, of Purdy, died at 8:49 p.m. May 14 at South Barry County Hospital in Cassville following a sudden illness. Mr. Hull was born February 21, 1934, in Cook, Nebraska, the son of Glen and Bernice (Mason) Hull. He was owner of Hull Construction and Heavy Equipment Company in Purdy, a milk hauler, and lithographer for Grinner Fiefield in Kansas City, a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett, and was a reserve deputy for the Barry County Sheriff's Department. He married Clara May Witt on May 3, 1953, in Monett, and she survives. Additional survivors include four sons, Michael Hull of Verona, Robert Hull and Stephen Hull, both of Barnwell, South Carolina, and Dennis Hull of Pomona, New York; one daughter, Suzanne Simpson of Perkins, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, May 18, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett with Father John Braun officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Monett under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Rosary will be 6 p.m. today, May 17, at the funeral home with visitation to follow. Memorials may be made to the Purdy Firefighters Association. |
