Text | Manville Ceola Hughes, 85, of Siloam Springs died May 8, 2004, at his home. He was born May 27, 1918, in the Oshkosh community in Newton County, Mo., to Sherman B. and Lola (Tichenor) Hughes. He was a manager for the Farmers Exchange in Exeter, Mo., for several years, and retired from the Bank of Exeter before moving to Siloam Springs in 1985. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gentry. His wife, Willodean (Erwin) Hughes, died on June 5, 2002. Survivors include one daughter of Siloam Springs; one son of Nixa, Mo.; three brothers of Wheaton, Joplin, and Rocky Comfort, Mo.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Cremation arrangements are by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. |
