Text | J. W. Hudson was born April 10, 1869 in Barry County, in the vicinity where he lived his entire life. He was a son of the late Obediah Hudson came from
Alabama and settled in Barry County in the year 1828. He was married to Miss Hannah Doty October 1, 1891. To their union 10 children were born, two daughters and eight sons. The two daughters and two sons preceded him in death. He is survived by the wife, six sons. Sherman and Vester of Jenkins; Barl of Cassville; Harold of Aurora; Walter of KC, and Woodrow of the home address. Also survived by five grandchildren. Bill, as he was affectionately called, had many friends. He was a good citizen, a good neighbor, and a devoted husband and father. For several years he was in failing health, and about one month ago was attack with the flu and complications which could not be overcome by physicians and the care of his loved ones. A sickness unto death. He departed this life from his home, Feb. 21, 1941; age being 71 years, 8 months and 12 days. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Feb. 24, at Clio, conducted by Rev. C. F. Siler of Cassville. |
