Headline | Mrs. W.W. Hoyt dies in St. Louis Hospital |
Text | Mrs. W.W. Hoyt, wife of the local M & A Depot agent, passed away in the Baptist Hospital at St. Louis last Thursday. She had been a patient in the
hospital for a short time for observation and treatment and died from an
internal hemorrhage. Della Nan Henley, daughter of John and Margaret Elizabeth Henley was born June 16, 1886 at Hog Eye, Okla., and departed this life Dec. 21, 1944, at the age of 58 years, 6 months and 5 days. She was united in marriage to Walter William Hoyt July 6, 1906. To this union six children were born, two sons, Walter and Oren, preceding her in death. She is survived by her husband, Walter W. Hoyt of Wheaton; two sons, Charles of Heber Springs Ark. And Maurice of Kansas City, Mo; two daughters, Mrs. Chester Higgs of Purdy Route and Mrs. Guy Yates of Oak Ridge, Tenn. Ten Grandchildren; one brother, Fred Henley of Le Ponto, (Research Note: Spelled LePanto) Ark.; one sister Mrs. Martha Letcher of Swifton, Ark., besides many other relatives and friends. She became a Christian early in life and united with the Wheaton Baptist church of which she was a faithful member until death. Funeral services were held at the Wheaton Baptist Church Sunday afternoon, Dec. 24, by Rev. W. J. Bain and Chas Vanzandt.
