| Text | Wheaton, MO - Irene K. Howerton, 83, Wheaton, died died at 6:08 a.m.
Wednesday, March 4, 1998, at a Marionville nursing home after a long illness. Miss Howerton was born Sept. 8, 1914, in Barry County. She was a cashier and clerk at Modern Variety Store in Monett. She retired in 1984. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Purdy. There are no immediate survivors. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral home, Monett. The Rev. Ron Howerton will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, near Butterfield. |
