Text | Chart Howerton, highly respected farmer, died at his home east of Wheaton Saturday, April 20, of creeping paralysis. He was 62 years, 1 month and 7 days old. He was united in marriage to Ruth Stevens April 3, 1888. To this union four children were born, who are: Mrs. Ellis Fair of Osawatomie Kan., Aubry Corum and Audie Howerton of near Wheaton. He leaves besides his wife and children, two sisters, Mrs. Samantha Landsdown and Mrs. Sarah Rodgers of Purdy, and two brothers, Jack Howerton of Duenweg and Bill Howerton of Texas. Funeral services were held at New Church, conducted by Rev. W. E. Goodnight and burial made in the cemetery at that place. |
