| Text | Helen Marie Houston, 92, of Purdy, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at her daughter's home in Purdy. She was born April 14, 1916, in Washburn, the daughter of Isaac and Maggie (McCormick) Henry. On July 11, 1959, in Cassville, she was united in marriage to Loyd Houston, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; two grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. She received her education in Washburn and lived most of her life in the Washburn area. She was baptized in 1932 and was a member of Mission Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Charles Stults conducted the services. Burial was at Washburn Prairie Cemetery, Washburn. |
