Text | Willie Carter Hill was born July 31, 1866, at the Hill farm on Indian creek west of Rocky Comfort. He spent all of his life there and at Rocky Comfort,
where he died June 9, 1928, at the age of 61 years, 10 months and 9 days. He was the son of Robert and Nancy Hill, deceased. He was united in marriage to Jennie Johnson of Belton, Mo., December 31, 1887. Besides her he leaves a daughter, Roxie Hill, and two sons, Curtis and Audie Hill, all of Rocky Comfort, one sister, Salie Hill of Joplin, Mo., one brother, E. J. Hill of Fairview, Mo. He was Converted thirty-four years and always looked back with pleasure on the time and place of his conversion. He expressed his faith in God so many times during his sickness and would rejoice when talking of the eternal home he was going to. He leaves a host of friends of whom he talked so much during his illness and prayed they might meet again. Mr. Hill was a ---- respected Mason -------------the Rocky Comfort -------than thirty years. Funeral services ------- at the Baptist ----- and Sherman ----- Mo. Burial was -----Comfort Cemetery. Research Note: There is a large tear in the paper and the blanks could not be determined. |
