| Text | Mrs. Simon P. Highbarger died last Friday, June 15, 1923 at the state
sanitarium at Nevada, Mo., and the body was shipped back here the first of
the week for burial. Mrs. Highbarger was born in 1872 in Ohio and was married to Simon P. Highbarger in 1903. She became mentally deranged in 1907 and was taken to the state sanitarium where she remained until her death. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon by Rev. Michael Montgomery at Munsey Chapel and the body buried in the cemetery at that place. Research Note: Her death certificate gives very little information - but does have her given name as Aldie. |
