| Text | Eunice Melva Higgs, 89, of
Exeter, died Monday Dec. 27, 2004, in Monett Health Care Center in Monett. Mrs. Higgs was born Nov. 8, 1915, south of Eagle Rock, the daughter of George and Lilly (Garner) Wilson. On Nov. 30, 1946, she was united in marriage to Champ Higgs. He preceded her in death in Oct. 1985. Melva worked as a caretaker and a clerk at the Farmers' Exchange in Washburn until her marriage. She was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Exeter. Survivors include: Two sons, one sister and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Enoch and Ertie Wilson; and three sisters, Janie Ennis, Alice Ledenham and Joycie Lacey. Services were held today, Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Exeter, under direction of Williamson Funeral Home, Cassville. Bro. Steve Higgs officiated.
