| Text | Dora Ellen Marzelle Keeling Higgs was born in Butterfield, Mo., Sept. 16, 1907 and died at the home of W.A. Sapp in Exeter Dec. 12, 1928 age 21 years 2 months and 16 days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam W. Keeling old and highly respected citizens of this county. She was married to Chester Higgs Dec. 31, 1927. She is survived by her husband Chester Higgs, her father and mother, one brother, Eugene Keeling, two sisters Goldie and Lorene, also a large number of relatives and a host of friends. She was converted at the Calvary Baptist church three years ago. A very large congregation of friends and neighbors gathered at the Exeter Baptist church on Thursday afternoon Dec. 13 to pay the last respect to her memory. The funeral services were conducted by Chas Vanzandt. Burial in the Maplewood cemetery at Exeter under the direction of the Barr and Blankenship Funeral Service. |
