| Text | Died, Nov. 6, wife of William Hickman, and interred in the Truelove cemetery the 7th. Mr. Hickman's child died before the wife. Research Note: Stone Inscription: "Wife of W. M." - She was Elnora Hickman. - Stone has October as the date. Patty McWilliam's Note: Barry County Marriage Bk I, 1897-1902, pg 42 William Hickman, age 22, & Elnora Whitt, age 16, married Nov 3, 1897 by H. Pinkson, MG. These dates fit with the dates of their tombstones. This info would also fit with the stone for Infant Hickman in Truelove, died Oct. 1899 - he may have died at birth since there is only one date. |
