Text | Edith Irene Hickman, 86, of Rogers,
Arkansas, died March 30 at Brighton House Nursing Home in Rogers, Arkansas. Mrs. Hickman was born July 28, 1917, in Highfill, Arkansas, the daughter of Warren J. and Nora J. (Philpott) Gailey. She was a retired ordained minister in the Assembly of God and was pastor of several area churches including Exeter and Ridgley. She married Glen Leroy Ault on March 19, 1938, and he preceded her in death June 25, 1948. She married Perry G. Hickman on June 1, 1970, and he preceded her in death December 21, 1988. Survivors include seven daughters, two sons, 33 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, O. P. Hickman; one daughter, Edna Brannan; two brothers, Earl Gailey and Floyd Gailey; two sisters, Reba Gailey and Laura Gailey; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, April 2, at Fohn Chapel in Cassville. Burial will be in Washburn Prairie Cemetery under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 1, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Assembly of God in Exeter. |
