Text | The remains of Mrs. S. F. Hickey, who was killed by a fast passenger train in St. Louis, Wednesday, were brought to Washburn and laid to rest in the Washburn Prairie Cemetery, Thursday. Mrs. Hickey leaves besides her husband three children, one son and two daughters, T. H. Hickey and Mrs. Wm. Curly and Mrs. John Hembolt of St. Louis. She is a daughter of the late Taylor McGlothin, an old and highly respected citizen around Washburn during life. She was a sister of Charlie McGlothlin. Mr. Hickey is a brother of Thos. Hickey resident northwest of Washburn. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of the many friends in their bereavement. Written by: Irvin Whitaker. She married Sevier F. Hickey on May 9, 1889 in Washburn, Barry Co., MO. MO Death Certificate has Sevier Hickey died May 30, 1930 in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of Isaac Newton Hickey and Nancy Ann Frost. |
