| Text | Lela Letha Hewlett, 97, of Monett, died at
8:55 p.m. December 30 at her home. Mrs. Hewlett was born February 25, 1907, in Crane, and was a daughter of Ella and Mary (Bouar) Ethridge. She was a retired nurse's aide and was a member of New Site Baptist Church in Monett. She married Uless P. Hewlett on November 24, 1929, in Aurora, and he preceded her in death August 28, 1994. Survivors include one daughter, Pauline Seitz and her husband, Gerald, of Verona; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and eight step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Paul Hewlett Jr.; and one grandchild. Services were 10 a.m. today, January 3, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Rev. Aaron Weibel officiating. Burial was in Calton Cemetery near Verona under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. |
