Text | Willie Ray "Bill" Henry, age 85, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013, in his home.
He was born April 30, 1928, in Washburn, Missouri, the son of George E. and Freda (Morgan) Henry. On June 26, 1954, he was united in marriage to Flonnie Walden, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Marty Henry and his wife, Kathy of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter, Debbie Henry of Exeter, Missouri; one brother, Kenneth Henry of Billings, Missouri; five grandchildren, Gage Henry, Kelli Stone, Keith Henry, Hannah Bolton and Kelsey Henry and five great grandchildren, Roper, Kenli, Landon, Layton and Casen. Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Ricky Joe Henry; three brothers, Glen, Russell and Loren Henry and one sister, Pauline Banks. Bill received his education at Measle Prairie rural school. As a young man he farmed. During the Korean War he served in the United States Army, from November 7, 1950 until August 12, 1952. He had been employed by Herschel Stehlik at the lumber yard for a few years and was a truck driver for Hudson Foods. For over twenty years Bill worked for Gary Keen driving a cattle truck. Bill’s favorite pastime was playing music, going to many performances around the community. He was a member of American Legion Post #118 and a member of Exeter Church of Christ. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 3, 2013, in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rick Hendrix will conduct the services. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. |
