Text | Lena Fay Henry, 76, of Washburn, passed away on Aug. 8, 2010, at her home. She was born on March 21, 1934, in the Cato community, daughter of James Smith and Chlora (Barrett) Smith. She was a lifelong resident of Washburn and a homemaker. She attended Cassville High School and married Ronald Gene Henry on July 9, 1952, in Bentonville, Ark. he preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1996. She was a past member of Mission Baptist Church in Washburn for over 45 years and recently became a member of the First Baptist Church in Washburn. Survivors include: two sons, of Washburn; three daughters; of Washburn, of Pineville, and of White House, Tenn.; one brother, Donald Smith, of Overland Park, Kan.; three sisters, Ruby Roque, of Macklin, Ore., Opal Weathers, of Cassville, and Corena Hall, of Republic; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Luther Bowen; and one brother, Charles Smith. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at White Funeral Home in Cassville with Pastor Aaron Weibel and Pastor James Stewart officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew Townsend, Jared Hinde, Christopher Henry, Jeffery Henry, Codie Harmon and Zachary Street. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the White Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home, Cassville. |
