Lee Olen Henry, 71, of Rogers, AR, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, in Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR.
He was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Washburn, the son of Walter Clyde Henry and Esther "Eldine" (Gifford) Henry. On April 3, 1971, he was united in marriage to Donna Leach, who preceded him in death on May 4, 2012. Also preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Harry Henry, Glenn Henry and Charlie Henry. Survivors include: one son, Douglas Henry and his wife, Angela, of Chouteau, Okla.; three daughters, Melissa Henry and her husband, Jimmy Phillips, of Little Rock, AR, Stephanie Henry, of Rogers, AR, and Sandra Ricke and her husband, Elvis, of Lowell, AR; one brother, Dewain Henry, of Seligman, MO; two sisters, Sheila Buczek-Booth, of South Carolina and Theresa Haynes, of Seligman; and five grandchildren. He grew up and received his education at Washburn, graduating with the Class of 1959. He attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Navy as a chief aerographer's mate (AGC). He was employed at Glad Mfg. - Clorox in Rogers, AR, retiring in 2006. Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial with military honors was at King Cemetery, Seligman. |
