Headline J. H. HENLEY DIES SUDDENLY AT HIS HOME HERE SUNDAY
Text - Outline J. H. Henley, proprietor of the Henley Cafe in Cassville, died suddenly at his home in this city Sunday morning, following a slight illness extending over the past week.

Mr. Henley was born and raised in the county on March 28, 1882 and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Darb Henley of Butterfield. He engaged in the barber business in Monett, Cassville, and Butterfield, until several years ago, when he married Mrs. M. F. Black, at which time he took over the management of the popular caf? in this city. He was a member of the Odd Fellow lodge and that body gave services at the grave. His funeral was one of the largest in that section for sometime. He was a member of the Cassville Commercial club and was always behind every progressive movement for the betterment of his town and county. He was a big-hearted and always contributed to the relief of those in distress.

The body was taken to the Horine Funeral Home in this city, where it was prepared for burial and taken to the home of his parents in Butterfield. Funeral services were held at the Mt. Pleasant church, near Butterfield, Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Chas. Vanzandt of Exeter. A Quartette composed of Mrs. John Ray, Mrs. Glen Pearl, Clint Blythe and Chas. Willis furnished music.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter by a former marriage, Miss Dema Henley; his father and mother, one brother, John Henley of Butterfield; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Harvery of Sands Springs, Okla., Mrs. Fleta Adams of Sands Springs, Okla. Mrs. Virgie Burckett of Butterfield; one half-brother, James Henley of California; three half-sisters, Mrs. Nancy Trollinger of Cassville, Mrs. Chas. Kemper of Exeter and Mrs. Ty Galloway of Oklahoma.
