Text | Arvola "Darlene" (Brannan) Hendrix, 70, of Seligman, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, in Select Specialty Hospital, Springfield.
She was born July 11, 1942, in Berryville, AR, the daughter of Rev. Georgie Alvin "GA" and Mildred Gladys (Johnson) Brannan. On June 8, 1963, in Hugo, OK, she was united in marriage to Lonnie D. K. Hendrix, who preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2004. Also preceding her in death were her parents. She received her education in Fairland, OK. Much of her life was spent ministering in several churches in Oklahoma and Missouri. For many years, she was a house parent for Tulsa Boy's Home. Twenty years ago, she moved from Oklahoma to Seligman to make her home. She was a member of OK Assembly of God Church, Washburn. Funeral services were held Tuesday in First Assembly of God Church, Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Robert Day and Brother Karty Burbridge conducted the services. Burial was at King Cemetery, Seligman. Contributions may be made to Cassville First Assembly of God Church in her memory. |
