Text | #1. Monett Times, Published March 21, 2000 Tommy Joe Henderson was age 50, and of rural Monett, MO. He died at 8:45 p.m. March 19 at his home as a result of an accidental gunshot wound. Mr. Henderson was born March 4, 1950, in Monett, the son of James Wesley and Josephine Bounous Henderson. He was a salesman for Friend Tire in Monett for over 20 years and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church near Monett. Services will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, March 22, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Lee Neill officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery near Monett under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, March 21, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church. #2. Monett Times, Published March 23, 2000 Services for Tommy Joe Henderson, 50, of Monett, who died March 19, were held at 2 p.m. yesterday, March 22, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Lee Neill officiating. Music was provided by The Morlans who sang The Old Rugged Cross and Peace In The Valley. Casketbearers were Steve Schmidt, Brad Kemp, Mike Hayes, Robert Edie, Kelly Hayes, and Kenny Fly. Honorary casketbearers were Rick Lemings, Andy Hayes, Jeff Ward, Scott Henderson, Wesley Henderson, Richard Redshaw, Brian Lyons, Jamie Ward, Steve Henderson, Bradley Henderson, and Scott Smith.
