| Text | Leona Marie Henderson, 87, of Pierce City, died yesterday, August 8, at Cox Monett Hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Henderson was born August 8, 1917, the daughter of August and Anna Hagedorn Witt. She was retired from McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City. Her husband, Robert, preceded her in death in 1972. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, August 10, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City with Father Peter Morciniec officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Wessell Funeral Home of Pierce City. Rosary will be 6 p.m. today, August 9, at the funeral home with visitation to follow. Memorials may be made to the church cemetery. |
