Text | Pvt. Henbest was killed in action Jan. 30, in France. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Osman (Doc) Henbest of Cassville. He spent Christmas here with his parents. He was married in December while stationed at Camp Robinson, Ark., and his wife accompanied him here for the visit. He was called while here to go to Ft. Meade, Md., and from there went across almost immediately. His parents had a letter from him a few days ago dated Jan. 22, stating that he was in France and was “ all right’. Pvt. Henry Henbest was 22 years old. He was inducted into the service last August and was trained at Camp Robinson, Ark. He could not have been in France and at the front to exceed thirty days when he lost his life. |
