Text | Charles E. Hayward, 50, of Republic, died at 4:30 p.m. May 12 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield following a long illness. Mr. Hayward was born March 7, 1949, in Monett, the son of Whaley F. and Adline Fyr Hayward. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Men's Club in Billings, the Society of St. Vincent DePaul and the Springfield/Cape Girardeau Catholic Cursillo. He was a former salesman and truck driver for Clark Food Products. He was married to Agnes Hayward, and she survives. Additional survivors include one daughter, Lauri Orf of Union; his mother, Adline Fyr of Monett; one brother, Whaley Hayward of Laurelville, Ohio; four sisters, Norma Duncan of Joplin, Adline Bartkoski of Monett, Mary Schad of Purdy, and Helen Storer of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, May 15, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Billings with Father Jim Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home of Billings. Rosary and prayer service will be 7:30 p.m. today, May 14, at the funeral home. |
