Text | Mrs. Jeannie Campbell Hawk, widow of the late Byron J. Hawk, was born in Hardin County, Illinois, March 9, 1868 and passed away at El Dorado, Ark., at the age of 77 years, four months and 15 days. Mrs. Hawk came here when a young girl and made many friends in the community where she lived so long and was well known. She was a mother of seven children, two of whom, Walter G., and Mrs. Roby Hutchens, preceded her in death. The survivors are: Mrs. Gleta M. Arnold, and Glenn R. Hawk of Cassville; Mrs. Fredia G. Reynolds, El Dorado, Ark., Omi c. Hawk, Homer La.; and Ira W. Hawk, Okmulgee, Okla., together with 10 grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Dora Spain lives in Los Angeles, Calif. Funeral services were conducted at the Koon Funeral Chapel by the Revs. C. I. Kenney and Charles VanZandt, Saturday. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. The passing of this good woman is regretted by all who knew her. Every sympathy is extended by friends to the bereaved ones. |
