Text | Mrs. Sudie Marbut Haskins, 75, passed away at the family home in Purdy, Sunday, July 15 after a long sickness from high blood pressure and other disabilities. Mrs. Haskins was a member of one of the county’s oldest families as a daughter of the late Judge J. M. (Mat) and Mrs. Rebecca Anna Burton Marbut. She was born on the farm where she spent practically all her life near McDowell. She was born on August 29, 1870. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Haskins, and four sons, Charley Burton Williams of Camdenton, Mo., and Noah William and Ralph and Glen Martin of Kansas City. All were here for the services and Noah and Burton were at home to attend her during her last hours. Funeral services were conducted at the Marbut Church Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Sherman Erickson. Burial was in the family plot at the Calton Cemetery under direction of the Koon Funeral Home.
