Text | Gerald "Jerry" Winfred Hartin, 49, of Washburn, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012, in Mercy Hospital, Cassville. He was born in Kansas City, on July 24, 1962, the son of Raymond Clanton and Catherine Ruth (Pilant) Hartin. In 1982, in Bamberg, Germany, he was united in marriage to Sabina Hügerich and to this union one daughter, Charmaine Hartin was born. Survivors include: his significant other of 20 years, Jeanne Young, of Washburn; two sons, Joshua Hartin and Jamason Hartin, both of Washburn; two daughters, Charmaine and her husband, Lynn Sandlin, of Bixby, Okla., and Charli Young, of Washburn; one brother, Jim Hartin, of Cassville; one granddaughter; his adopted father, Bud Hart and his wife, Georgia, of Cassville; his brothers and sisters, Don Hart and his wife, Raylene, of Cassville, Terry Hart, of Milwaukee, Wis., Kelley Hart, San Diego, Calif., and Nova Kaye Finocchiaro and her husband, Kevin, of Cassville. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Pete and Hazel Hart and his adopted mother, Gena Fae Hart. He and his brother, Jim, came to live with their Uncle Bud and Aunt Gena Hart, who raised them as their very own children following the death of their parents. He attended school in Verona, Jenkins and Cassville where he graduated in 1980. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked at Luck E Strike Manufacturing for 15 years where he was general manager. He was currently self-employed in construction. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Hartin Educational Fund at Freedom Bank. |
