Text | Services for Dr. Noel E. Harris, 62, Purdy, who died at 3:35 p.m. Sunday at his home
after a two-year illness, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Williamson Chapel
in the Valley, Cassville. The Rev. Kim Larkin officiated. Burial was in Sparks Cemetery, north of Cassville. Dr. Harris was born Feb. 29, 1912, at Purdy. He was a registered pharmacist, employed at the McGraw Drug Store in Purdy and at various pharmacies in Joplin. In 1948, he entered the Kansas City (Mo.) College of Osteopathy and afterwards practiced a year in Monett and 21 years in Purdy. He was co-owner of the Harris-Howell Clinic in Purdy. He was a member of the Methodist church and the Purdy Lions Club. Survivors include his wife, one son, one daughter, three stepsons, two stepdaughters, his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie H. Boyd, Purdy; a brother, two sisters, and four step-grandchildren. Research Note: July 1974 handwritten on top of obit. |
