Text | James Arthur Harris was born in Clay County, Ill., Sept. 28, 1880. He was the son of John and Ermina Harris and died at his home in Exeter from a heart attack, Oct. 31, 1945, at the age of 65 years, one month and three days. He was united in marriage to Mary Wiles, Dec. 9. 1903. To this union twin sons were born, Fred and Ed. Fred precede his father in death, July 17, 1931. He is survived by his wife, one son Ed, of Joplin, a sister, Mrs. Cora Pallette of Ft. worth, Texas, two brothers Will Harris of Austin, Texas and Clyde Harris of Jefferson, Texas, and a host of neighbor and friends. He was converted in early life and united with the Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at the Exeter Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 4, by the Rev. Arnold Long, assisted by the Rev.
